A Heritage in Health to Discover

600 objects from the collection of the Hospitallers of St.Joseph, of Hôtel-Dieu, relate a history forever entwined with that of Montreal.

Guided tours are available for groups and students from grade schools to universities.

The Musée des Hospitalières de l'Hôtel-Dieu de Montréal, inaugurated in 1992, commemorates the 350th anniversary of the foundation of Montreal.

Pointe-Saint-Charles: between river and canal

Stretching between the river and the Lachine Canal, Pointe-Saint-Charles bears witness to more than three centuries of Montreal history and the prodigious vitality of its industrial activity.

All tours are two hours long and are conducted - in both French and English – regardless of the weather. Tickets go on sale at the departure point fifteen minutes before the designated time. No reservations are accepted.

The official bike roundabout

Bike tour, led by a professional tour guide, starting at the Old Port, La Fontaine Park into the Golden Square Mile's, the downtown, and onto Old Montréal. You may keep your bicycle for the whole day!

Arrival 30 minutes prior to departure. Price : $29 (plus taxes) without the bike rental; $44 (plus taxes) including the bike rental (bicycles are at your disposal until 7:00 pm). Reservations are obligatory as places for bike tour are limited.

Tour of the Exhibit Damoiselle Mance

The exhibition unveils the life and work of Jeanne Mance (1606-1673) co-founder of Montréal, founder of the Hôtel-Dieu and Canada's first secular nurse.

The exhibition can be visited individually during the museum's opening hours. A guided tour can also be reserved for groups.
